Introduction
Kanchize Design Studio, a renowned design firm, has consistently demonstrated its prowess in crafting visually compelling and strategically sound brand identities and packaging design. By understanding the unique challenges and aspirations of each client, Kanchize has successfully created cohesive and impactful packaging design for product portfolios.
This case study delves into several key projects undertaken by Kanchize, showcasing their ability to harmonize diverse product formats while maintaining brand language integrity.
Project 1: Lotus Organics and Youth RX
Challenge:
Maintaining color consistency across various formats and substrates (tubes, jars and cartons)
Ensuring brand recognition and differentiation within a complex product range
Solution:
For example in project YouthRx we have arrived as a unique gold colour which we named as Sand Gold to suit our concept of hour glass and timeless beauty. This colour had to be common across all formats and its packaging materials, Glass, Plastic and paper cartons.
Color Mastery: Kanchize meticulously analyzed the desired color palette, particularly the signature "sand gold" of Youth RX. Through careful experimentation and collaboration with manufacturers, they achieved precise color matching across different materials.Visual Language: A consistent visual language was established, incorporating a harmonious blend of typography, imagery, and layout. This unified approach strengthened brand recognition and reinforced the premium positioning of the products.
Project 2: Tata Gofit
Challenge:
Creating a cohesive brand identity across diverse formats with varying space constraints,
despite the ratio difference between the Apple Cider and Plant Protein.

Solution:
Flexible Design System: Kanchize developed a flexible design system that could adapt to different formats while maintaining brand essence. The use of a consistent color palette, typography, and imagery helped to create a unified look and feel.Smart Space Utilization: By optimizing layout and typography, Kanchize Team effectively utilized the limited space on the apple cider packaging, ensuring clear communication of product information.
The copy writing of information maintaining hierarchy consistency also played an important role

Project 3: Henko
Challenge:
Creating a unified brand identity for two distinct product ranges (stain care and matic)
Balancing the need for differentiation while maintaining brand consistency
Solution:
Iconic Branding: The iconic heart logo became the central element of the brand identity, symbolizing care. This logo was adapted to suit different formats and product categories.Visual Hierarchy: Kanchize prioritized key information and created a clear visual hierarchy to guide consumer attention.
Matic Products accommodates machine like texture within the same layout for category codes to be equally important
This ensured that the brand message was effectively communicated, regardless of the format.
Project 4: Margo
Challenge:
Balancing brand guidelines with the need for category-specific visual cues
Solution:
Category-Specific Visual Language: Kanchize developed a flexible design system that allowed for category-specific variations while maintaining overall brand consistency.
Category codes Design: elements that visually connects categories were accommodated in a way that it still connects with the brand language.
For example in beauty soaps - Neem naturals range we kept the position of neem with the logo intact and added ingredient story via colours and ingredients around it. This helped connecting with core soap as we have considered the neem arrangement around the logo also as a brand memory.
Project 5: Glow and Lovely
Challenge:
Expanding the product range while maintaining brand identity and visual consistency
Creating a strong visual language that resonates with the target audience
Solution:
Consistent Visual Language: Kanchize established a strong visual language characterized by a clean, modern aesthetic, and a focus on product benefits.
Modular Design: A modular design approach was adopted, allowing for flexibility in layout and imagery while maintaining brand consistency.
We designed Matte powder finished creme first followed by Brightening Sunscreen and then Brightening Serum. The step by step introduction of ranges helped us build the brand language, hierarchy and colours for ranges with stronger unifiers and differentiators.
